Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall, July 7 - 12th, 2010!  H.E.R.O. was notified, that they've been approved to host the memorial. This is a tremendous honor. H.E.R.O. and Michigan residents are fortunate to have been chosen.

Navigator GYM INDOOR FOAMY FLYING, MONDAYS (when the school is open for a total of 8 weeks): 5:30-6:30 pm , Guest, visitors, and pilots welcome.  See our Calendar for rules and details.  The last day for the gym flying this year is March 15, 2009. 

5TH ANNUAL HAMBURG FAMILY FUN FEST, June 16 - 20, 2010
Buddy-Box Radio-Controled Flying Demonstrations.
First-time flyers will experience the thrill of operating a radio controlled airplane aided by a "buddy" assisting with the controls.  Thrilling maneuvers and demonstartions from expert flyers will be hosted by the Hamburg Flyers RC Club. 
Hamburg Enhanced Recreation Organization (HERO) is presenting.
Any Club member volunteers are appreciated.  You will be helping the Community, club, and Park. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL R/C CLUB!!!: at Cornerstone Christian School every Wed. at 7:00a.m. is restarting as they have for over 10 years.   Mike Cisler from the Livingston County Club and Tim Wiggle from our club assisted Dick Streetman every week last year. We flew choppers and planes indoors until May and then went to larger trainers outside.  About a dozen students and 3 of the dads came regularly.  We start again on Sept.23. Mr Streetman is trying to get a price break for our kids from both Hooby-Lobby and Horizon Hobby due to the fact we want our kids to each fly their own 2.4 chopper and plane. Dick will take some pictures once they are rolling.

TEXAS HOLD-EM September 19-22 2010 in ANN ARBOR. Heidelberg Resturant we need volunteers!  

FIELD MAINTENANCE STATUS: Runway sealed and painted. It looks bright and sharp. New field box installed, keys are in process.  The Park's continue to bring in fill and they have removed the tree.   Direct all inquiries to the Park's Board.  Winterizing of the field is complete.  The awning and wind sock are removed and stored for the winter.  

CLUB MEETING May 4, 2010 TUESDAY is at the Hamburg Flying Field Center SE corner of the part on our maps page) starting at 7 PM Sharp. We will be reviewing the pit layout for permedent implementation.  Wives, guest, friends, interested visitors, and family welcome!

!!!!HAMBURG FLYERS AIRSHOW!!!!!! COMPLETED AUG 15, Estimate over 100 visitors. Started with no wind and the Largest airplanes at the field yet. It was hot, we are working on plans for improved shade for the spectators next year. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE; For the park, HERO, and community, we are assisting in the Baseball's field repairs of the sod.  We continue to assisted in labor of laying seed, sod, and the ongoing watering.  Anyone willing to assist with maintaining the sprinklers please use the club's email. 

PHOTO ALBUM - Access and organization improved. We tested adding new accounts, posting pictures, increased file size to 400kb per image, and fixed the approval system.  We are attempting getting video supported and posted on the site.  

Public Services: We hosted a Cub Scout rocket flying event in May 2009. 30+ scouts were in attendance to build/fly rockets and buddy box flying.  Anyone, photos for the web?
